Dear friends of peace,
Join us on May 9th for peace and international understanding in Europe – instead of war preparations, rearmament, and decline! Right now, all of our voices are needed more urgently than ever before! No matter where you are, whether as an organization or as an individual, whether as a major action with a demonstration, happening, performance, or spontaneously on your own balcony. Help us to bring together every peace committed person across Europe for a huge decentralised action on May 9th at 5:00 PM 🕊☮️

You can enter your planned action on our website here so that other people in your area can find you and also take part: https://europeanpeaceproject.eu/events/events-9-5-2026/
The events will then be displayed on a map – let’s fill all of Europe with peace doves for actions on May 9th!
If you are still thinking about ideas what to do on May 9th – it is always interesting to incorporate not only art but also a historic national monument of your town or country.

Here is a wonderful article about our #europeanpeaceproject: https://europeanpeaceproject.eu/en/

We oppose the dangerous policy of establishing Germany as an emerging “weapons factory” in which automotive giants are switching to tank and ammunition production! We oppose the federal government’s announcement that it wants to make Germany the strongest military power in Europe again, with a troop strength of 460,000.
Germany? Rearmamant? War??? Let’s just say: What could possibly go wrong???
An allegedly prior analysis has clearly failed completely, since there is no country that threatens Germany as long as the Bundeswehr concentrates on its task of defending the Federal Republic within its national borders, instead of taking part in unlawful US or NATO military interventions or regime changes, or fighting a NATO proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. Threat lies are being manufactured here, and war scenarios are being talked up that will lead us all not only into economic but also civilisational ruin! Furthermore, US nuclear weapons and bases are not protection – they make us a target, as has become all too clear with the US/Israeli attack on Iran. Therefore, we need an immediate end to nuclear sharing and the cancellation of the US troop stationing agreement. Wars must never be waged from German soil – by anyone!

The Russian Ministry of Defence published lists of companies and their locations – “Ukrainian” and “joint” enterprises – that produce drones and components for Ukraine on their own soil, so that European citizens know not only the true causes of the threats to their security but also the addresses. Locations in Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Israel and Poland were named.

The background to this publication is Zelenskyy’s meeting on April 14th in Berlin with Chancellor Merz, during which even closer military cooperation with Ukraine was planned (once again, completely bypassing parliament and against the majority will of the German population!): ten agreements and arrangements for the delivery and production of missiles and drones were made, a new German “military package” of 4 billion euros was agreed, and German investments totalling 300 million euros were promised to expand the production of Ukrainian long-range weapons. Berlin has also decided to finance a contract for several hundred missiles for the US Patriot air defence systems and to deliver 36 of its own IRIS-T air defence systems to Ukraine. A total of around 55 billion euros has already been spent on the Ukrainian armed forces. For the year 2026, the provision of a further 11.5 billion euros is planned.
Germany has become the main sponsor of the proxy war and the militarisation of Ukraine.
At the same time, representatives of German business, social welfare organisations, youth services, culture, etc., report how much they themselves lack these funds.

No wonder that, according to polls, Friedrich Merz has simultaneously been voted the most unpopular head of government in the world. . No wonder that the return of German militarism, genocide, deindustrialisation and another war against Russia are not a recipe for success.

Therefore, we also support/cooperate with the initiative “Russia is not our enemy”: https://russlandistnichtunserfeind.de/

Glenn Diesen writes correctly:
“To confront Russia, the EU will spend 90 billion euros it does not have to buy weapons from the US it does not have to arm soldiers Ukraine no longer has. We are told that security in the Middle East requires the defeat of Iran, security in East Asia requires the defeat of China, and security in Europe requires the defeat of Russia. We never discuss security in terms of learning how to live together by balancing interests and managing competition. This is deliberate. This is the hegemonic peace, where security depends on the defeat of rivals rather than on managing a balance of power.
In this spiral of escalation, where security relies solely on deterrence rather than reassurance, any saving diplomacy is dismissed as appeasement; peace agreements as temporary and deceptive; and war is redefined as peace. Rivals are granted no legitimate security interests, because their policies are framed as motivated by aggressive, irrational or expansionist behaviour. Speaking about the security interests of adversaries is supposedly a way of ‘legitimising’ their policies – which is treasonous. We are not to ask how the defeat of Russia, the world’s largest nuclear power, could be a rational security strategy, or why EU governments refuse even to speak with Moscow to discuss the European security architecture and end the war.
All empires can become irrational in decline. Leaders take greater risks to avoid decline, domestic legitimacy crises must be distracted by foreign enemies, outdated strategies from a long-past era of strength continue to be applied, and there is a tendency to reinforce narratives that one is indispensable, represents universal values, and dismisses all opposition as illegitimate and dangerous.”
Thus, they become fanatics, and it is our task to keep our promise of “NEVER AGAIN” and to stop the war madness of rearmament, escalation and hostile rhetoric!

Little noticed, but Germany now officially wants a NATO option for Ukraine, thereby making diplomatic solutions impossible. Merz is a foreign policy disaster with his escalatory behaviour, precisely at a time when mediating diplomacy is of the greatest necessity.
All the more important that we, as the population, raise our voices against this war madness. https://weltwoche.ch/daily/strategische-partnerschaft-ohne-strategie/ https://weltwoche.ch/daily/strategische-partnerschaft-ohne-strategie/

What is happening in Iran and Ukraine is a world-historically significant realignment of global power relations. https://transition-news.org/iran-und-ukraine-zwei-schauplatze-eines-krieges?fbclid=

No country should gamble away its youth/future in the form of hundreds of thousands of soldiers! False threats are being created here, and war scenarios are being talked into existence that will lead us all not only economically, but also civilizationally, into ruin!
We therefore once again support the nationwide student strike on May 8 against compulsory military service:

A wonderful speech and argumentation by Michael von der Schulenburg, effectively countering even the most misguided objections. The UN Charter means negotiating your differences and protecting us from the Stone Age “rule of the strongest,” which is also threatening our rule of law in every respect!

Spain is doing the right thing and moving in the right direction with Sánchez’s meeting with Xi Jinping, because BRICS is the future. One can only hope that this forward-looking orientation of Spain will trigger a domino effect across Europe. Germany’s role under its government is clearly becoming increasingly regressive and embarrassing!
Pedro Sánchez:
“They tried to make us feel ashamed of our ideas and our past. But that is over. The shame is theirs. For us, from today onward, there is PRIDE. Pride in standing on the right side of history. And in saying, one thousand times over: YES TO PEACE AND NO TO WAR…”
Sánchez demands the IMMEDIATE ARREST of Netanyahu, stating:
“Netanyahu has launched the most unjustifiable and deadliest attack against Lebanon. His contempt for human life and for international law is intolerable. He is a criminal who must be arrested without delay.”
He adds that the EU will very soon suspend its association agreement with Israel.

“The problem with all nuclear strategies in Europe, however, is that if such weapons were ever to be used, Central Europe—and thus Germany—would always be the battlefield on which such an exchange would take place.” (…)
“The key question, therefore, is: does the stationing of missiles serve more to protect Germany, or does our country instead— as the U.S. side puts it—serve the military ‘freedom of action’ of U.S. forces and thereby contribute to a potential forward-defense battlefield of the United States, which itself cannot even be reached by Russian intermediate-range missiles?”

We therefore ask you to support this important initiative:

1. We have learned that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, stated that the number of countries possessing nuclear weapons could increase from 9 to 25 or 30, without naming the countries concerned. According to an IAEA report from March 2025, however, Germany possesses the scientific, technical, and industrial capacities to produce its own nuclear weapons. The proliferation of new nuclear weapons is a very serious matter and violates the provisions of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. We must not forget that Germany played a leading role in two world wars remembered by humanity.
2. We express our deep concern about this IAEA report, according to which Germany is capable of producing nuclear weapons at short notice if it so chooses. In addition, there are statements by German politicians emphasizing the need for Germany to build the strongest army in Europe, which would be impossible without nuclear weapons. Several European governments, including Germany, are increasingly speaking about the need to prepare their populations for a possible nuclear war. We consider such statements irresponsible, provocative, and tantamount to a call to prepare for nuclear war.
3. For these reasons, we call on the United Nations, the IAEA, the international community, and international organizations to demand the termination and dismantling of Germany’s capacity to build its own nuclear weapons. Germany must respect the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. At the same time, it must demand the withdrawal of U.S. nuclear weapons stationed in Büchel.

Plato describes the fall of Atlantis as a result of hubris, lust for power, and moral decay. The inhabitants of Atlantis originally possessed both divine and human qualities, with the divine predominating. Over time, however, the divine nature diminished and human greed took over.
The Atlanteans became powerful, wealthy, and technologically advanced, but also warlike. Their pursuit of power led them to attempt to subjugate large parts of the Mediterranean region, including ancient Athens. Because of this moral decline, Zeus, the king of the gods, decided to punish the Atlanteans. The result was the destruction of the island in a single day and night through devastating earthquakes and floods.

It was not the wrong position toward reconciliation with Russia, but rather closeness to the far-right Israeli government that cost Orbán the election. Anyone who, after all the wars and genocides, still relies on Trump and Netanyahu will be dragged with them into the abyss of ruin! When will European—and especially German—politicians finally realize this!? And above all, how long will we, the population, continue to tolerate that all this self-destruction is financed with our tax money!?

70 nations have signed and published a resolution. The Israeli armed forces do not respect international order. Recently, they allegedly killed seven UN peacekeepers in Lebanon in cold blood. The resolution calls for the immediate end of Zionist terror in Lebanon and for immediate negotiations.

In the ceasefire that was later declared, the United States had accepted Iran’s ten-point plan—here, therefore, is the written basis for negotiations:
• Non-aggression
• Continuation of Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz
• Acceptance of uranium enrichment
• Lifting of all primary sanctions
• Lifting of all secondary sanctions
• Termination of all UN Security Council resolutions
• Termination of all resolutions of the IAEA Board of Governors
• Payment of compensation to Iran
• Withdrawal of U.S. combat troops from the region
• End of the war on all fronts, including the war against the “heroic Islamic resistance” in Lebanon

The U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz was, in principle, likely an attempt to force the world to continue accepting the petrodollar and to draw China into the conflict, in order to compel it to pay for oil in petrodollars rather than yuan—but like everything before it, it was once again a bad idea:
Although the U.S. Navy is blocking access to Iranian ports with 15 ships, Chinese vessels continue to pass through the blockade undeterred and sail to Iranian ports.
How Trump allowed himself to be drawn into the war against Iran by Netanyahu:
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/07/us/politics/trump-iran-war.html?fbclid=

“Trump and Netanyahu bomb, threaten, and rage—China mediates. Good! And who pays for the whole mess? In the future, Iran will charge a toll of 2 million USD per ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Sounds like little? Well, around 30,000 tankers pass through the strait every year. That’s 60 billion USD in toll revenue annually—roughly equal to Iran’s oil export revenues. And who ultimately pays this toll? You can guess three times.”
