Dear friends of peace and international understanding

Despite increasingly strong protests from the population, European governments are still not exerting any real pressure on the Israeli government to stop the genocide and expulsion of the Palestinians and end the occupation. On the contrary, the deliberate starvation of the population in Gaza is being denied or downplayed, and a major military offensive is even being prepared to take the city of Gaza, where around one million people are already injured, starving and severely traumatised. Currently, journalists in Gaza are being targeted for assassination, undoubtedly to make it more difficult to obtain further images and evidence of war crimes in the plan to occupy the entire city and raze it to the ground. The latter must be prevented at all costs – which makes our project and manifesto for 3 October on peace and freedom for Palestine now all the more important!

So please help us to make it effective:

  1. If you haven’t already done so, please register so that we can keep you up to date with all the latest news about our joint action on 3 October – so that we can coordinate as effectively as possible for the day worldwide and with all the peace actions already planned.
  2. Promote the manifesto and mobilise for action on 3 October – print out posters and flyers, hang them at bus stops, on trees, advertising columns, walls or as posters in your shop, distribute them in your town, at demonstrations, etc.
Basically, there are already regular Palestine solidarity actions in every city, such as the Friday demonstrations in Cologne or this wonderful flash mob in Berlin – recommended for imitation: https://www.pressenza.com/de/2025/08/wie-ein-flashmob-fuer-gaza-aus-mailand-nach-berlin-kam/?%20Fbclid
A good overview of all these actions, e.g. in Germany: http://palaestina-solidaritaet.de/mein-kalender/
You can also read out the manifesto now at rallies and demonstrations for peace or solidarity with Palestine.
Send the manifesto to friends, acquaintances, local and national politicians!
  3. Think about where and how you want to read the manifesto on 3 October, whether as a small action on your balcony at home, whether you can approach artists or musicians, plan your own rally, or read the manifesto at the large demonstrations in Berlin and Stuttgart (or on your way home). Get together with others, talk to existing Palestine solidarity groups, town twinning associations with Palestine, or peace organisations to see if they are already planning something for 3 October and join forces.
Add your event to our interactive map so that other activists can find you and take part in your campaign. Feel free to use art, music and other forms of artistic expression to reach people on a subliminal, more emotional level. Here you will find some good music related to the context, which includes the names of all the children murdered by the IDF to date: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSrNiCa2V6E The artist’s other songs are also impressive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf5I-5I-fF4

  4. Action – highlight 3 October at 5 p.m. Proclamation of the Manifesto for Peace and Freedom in Palestine, no matter where you are – no matter where you are.
  5. Take photos and videos of yourselves on 3 October during your action and the reading of the manifesto in your language, and send us the recordings – we will publish them again in a gallery, on YouTube and in a new film.

We would also be delighted if you could contribute to strengthening our mission with a financial donation.

It would be great if you could send us translations of our new manifesto in Finnish, Norwegian, Greek, Czech, Bulgarian, Danish, Estonian, Croatian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian and Hungarian, as well as Hindi and African languages. We would also be very happy to have more volunteer contact persons in Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, India, Australia, New Zealand, African and South American countries!

Of course, we are also closely and actively following the issue of peace in Europe through a negotiated solution to the proxy war in Ukraine. The meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin gave cause for hope – see Michael v.d. Schulenburg’s insightful analysis on this subject: https://www.emma.de/artikel/noch-hat-die-ukraine-eine-zukunft

Unfortunately, it seems that figures such as Merz, von der Leyen, Starmer, Macron, Meloni and Zelensky are continuing to boycott dialogue and reconciliation with Russia and want to continue the war on European soil, to the detriment and against the will of their populations. Ukraine must no longer be misused as a staging area for the insane attempt to ‘ruin’ Russia! Neutrality is the best guarantee of security! Ukrainians are tired of being misused as cannon fodder for raw materials and profits for the arms industry. We, the citizens of Europe, are tired of our tax money being poured into the coffers of the arms industry at the expense of our social standards and infrastructure. We want peace and mutual understanding with Russia, which can only be achieved through dialogue and a balance of interests that also takes Russian security interests into account.
Therefore, on Anti-War Day on 1 September in Germany and on 21 September worldwide, please read our manifesto from 9 May again – it has lost none of its relevance.

Therefore, on Anti-War Day on 1 September in Germany and on 21 September worldwide, please read our manifesto from 9 May again – it has lost none of its relevance.

Many international actions are already planned for Anti-War Day, especially on 21 September. Here are just a few examples of actions by our partners:

7.-21.9. 7-21 September 25 (camp), 20 September 25 (demonstration)Ulm:Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest private arms manufacturer, produces weapons that enable the genocide in Gaza! Elbit’s European headquarters are located in Ulm.

21 September 2025, 1:00–5:30 p.m. at the Château de Pourtalès in Strasbourg, free and open to all: dissemination of a PEACEABILITY programme based on and supporting our European peace project and its manifesto, reaffirming that freedom, fraternity, the rule of law and democracy are the true foundations of Europe. In a world threatened by violence and the current policy of rearmament everywhere, the event calls on each of us to seek peaceful solutions in local, European and global affairs. 13 September 2025 Berlin 2:00 p.m. Brandenburg Gate, appeal “No weapons in war zones!
Peace instead of an arms race! We don’t believe your lies. Your double standards are unbearable. Your playing with fire frightens us.” by: Massiv (rapper), Bausa (rapper), Peter Maffay, Dieter Hallervorden, Gabriele Krone-Schmalz, Sahra Wagenknecht, https://weltinfrieden.de/

These and hundreds of other events are excellent opportunities to distribute our flyers and read out the manifesto.

There are already events planned for

3 October at 1 p.m. in Berlin and Stuttgart in cooperation with us from ‘Nie wieder Krieg – die Waffen nieder!’ (No more war – lay down your arms!) In Berlin, probably at Bebelplatz. Stuttgart at Schlossplatz.

For more detailed information, including speakers, visit: https://nie-wieder-krieg.org/

It is encouraging, however, that the majority of the world’s population in the Global South actually shares our view that conflicts should be resolved through dialogue, mutual understanding, trust, respect and the balancing of interests, and that peace should be regarded as the highest good and war as a means of politics should be outlawed. We were able to experience this again recently during an exchange at a symposium on the ‘80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the global anti-fascist war’ at the Chinese Consulate General, where we also discussed the historical lessons of the Second World War and the peaceful shaping of the new world order. Stay strong, stay active and stay peaceful.
